We just got back yesterday from Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It was a much needed vacation and so much fun. We stayed in our usual chalet, Our Mountain Getaway. It is so nice and comfortable. We have three bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, pool table, lots of tv's with DVD players, hot tub (which we did not use), porch with rocking chairs and swings and more. Plus it also has a pretty good view.
Every morning we had to get up early to take Mike to his conference but we scheduled our day around it. The weather was great except it was cold and rainy the first two days. On Sunday we drove out to Knoxville to meet Emily's pen pal from AHG that she has been talking to all year. She also has a brother that is Christopher's age. They were both so excited to see them. We spent three hours at there house so the kids could play. It was a wonderful time.
On Monday we made a trip out to the Exotic petting zoo while Mike was at his conference. Christopher and Emily have been there before but this time they were not quite so scared to feed the animals. Christopher even fed the camel knowing his hands would get slimed. They also loved trying to catch the baby goats and picking them up.
We had so much fun on our trip. I have loads of pictures of all the things we did and where we stayed. But since this takes a lot of time I will post a little more every day. To be continued ......
