Phillies
Christopher is playing for the Shelby Township baseball league this summer. So far things are going great. His team has played 3 games and won all three. Christopher has played 1st base, outfield and pitched one game. He is having a lot of fun!
Last weekend was the end of the year AHG camping event at Camp Cavell. It was such a wonderful weekend. I think the girls all had a great time.
The girls are getting instruction on how to use the ropes.

February 24th The Big Weekend!!
This is the weekend Emily and Christopher have been waiting for!! We were really worried that one or both of them would get sick but they managed to wait until they got home to get sick thankfully. So Christopher had his big Regional Tournament for his Summit Basketball team. Unfortunately I have no pictures because he went with a team mate. Mike was working this weekend and I had to go with Emily on another trip. Christopher had a wonderful time despite the fact that they lost both of their games. As for Emily and I, we went to Portage with her American Heritage Girl Troop for a over night trip to the Air Zoo.
So 10 of us piled into a van and headed for Portage, Michigan. We were expecting a snow storm that night so it was uncertain how the drive would be. God was watching over us and thankfully the snow did not get bad until after we arrived. The Air Zoo program was great! They had it all planned out with badge work and fun free time. During the badge work they learned many things about how planes work and completed a lot of fun experiments.

Emily was able to sit in a couple of airplanes including a Blue Angel plane!
They had a Blackbird stealth plane in the museum which was amazing!
They had a few rides that they went on. I think the Flight Simulator was Emily's favorite!
They had these amazing life size paintings on the wall so we had a little fun with them.
The Air Zoo was a great experience and we both had a lot of fun.

Family Craft Project
One day I found a craft using these people that you could color yourself and glue on paper above a cloud (www.crafolic.com) It was so cute! So I thought Amber would have fun with it. Little did I know that it would become a project that everyone would take part in. We changed the project slightly by putting it on a large poster board and adding flowers and the statement "Miles Christi Sum" meaning "I am a soldier of Christ". Christopher, Emily and Amber all had a part in completing this creation. If you look closely you may be able to find Fr. Ben and Fr. Luigi. We liked it so much that it is hanging up in the school room on the wall!

The Jabberwocky Recited by Emily
She finally did it. Emily memorized the Jabberwocky poem. It was a very difficult poem with a lot of nonsense words but she did a great job!

Grand Emporium
For Christmas Christopher asked for a huge Lego kit. When I bought it for him I had no idea it was this nice. The details are amazing!
